Waukesha: Words of Advice During the Flood Cleanup
Right now, many of us are dealing with the damage and stress from flooding—whether it’s in our homes or businesses.
If you need to hire someone for debris removal outside your regular trash pickup, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Dumping costs are usually charged by weight (per ton).
Flood-damaged items are waterlogged—meaning they’re heavier and will cost more to dispose of.
If possible, let your items dry out before dumping them to reduce disposal costs.
Replacing your belongings will already be expensive. Some companies are also charging inflated prices right now. There’s enough work to go around without anyone being taken advantage of.
If you can wait, you might save money by letting items dry and disposing of them later. But if you need to get rid of things ASAP, here’s how I can help:
I have smaller trailers for rent to haul your items away.
I may also have one of our Waukesha Trailer Rentals LLC dump trailers parked at Total Flex Gym for public use.
You bring your items, I’ll quote you a fixed rate based on how much you’re throwing out. Once the trailer is full, I’ll take care of dumping it so others can use it next. We are not looking to make any money off this, we will only charge what we pay for disposal!
My schedule is hectic, but this is one simple way I can help keep things affordable and fair. I don’t want to see anyone taken advantage of—especially when lending a hand to your neighbors is the right thing to do.
