Been doing some jeep things! Got this little orange yj swapped over to some super duty axles! Yanked out the Dana 35s for a Dana 60 front and a 10.5 rear! Fabricated and welded up a front hydro steering mount. Widened the front leaf spring frame mounts to work with the stock Dana 60 leaf spring perches and streached the front wheel base about 2.5 inches To utilize the factoy fromt driveshaft. Got the rear axle pushed back about 8" and used the stock leaf spring track width and moved the 10.5 perches inward and corrected the pinion angle to work with the jeep driveline. Had to make a rear shaft. Fabbed up shock mounts, rear axle anti wrap bar, and countless other things!
Next up was this little tj that already had some desierable ford axles under it. A front dana 44 and a rear 9". We swapped in a clutch kit, and streached the rear end with a triangulated 4 link. We welded on a truss kit for the axle housing, fabricated up some frame plates to fix some rust and strengthen the link mount areas on the frame rails. Fabricated some spring perches and shock mounts, on the frame side and on the link arms for a trailing arm setup. Both rigs have made some wheeling trips and performed awesome!
