Who owns a 3rd gen Nova and wants this kit?!?!
This kit turned out sick, utilizing all the components I use on my personal setup. And I realize this setup may not be for everyone, but if you want a lot of BADA$$ parts packaged into your 3rd gen Nova turbo kit, this is for you!
Shearerfab billet collectors, ShearerFab 5/8” thick header fl**ges and ShearerFab canted T6 open fl**ge. Motion Raceworks wastegate merges, Turbosmart 45mm hyper-gate wastegates, Lowdoller EGT bungs, PHX fab double slip joint, male/female vband assemblies, 1/8” NPT pressure port right before the turbo fl**ge and 16 gauge 304 stainless material made in the USA!
This kit is made with1-3/4” primaries and 2-1/2” crossover. The turbo placement is similar to my car (last picture) and the headers clear 6 bolt block/heads. Will clear factory manual steering box and rack conversions. Heater ports need to be plugged and trz or smith racecraft type control arms used for the added clearance. Just like all my Nova headers or hotsides, these were built using LSX innovation (or similar) adapter plates, 72 nova SBC frame stand (3955183 and 3955184) and Moroso solid SBC engine side mount (62500). I use the holes in the adapter plates that put the engine 7/16” forward of SBC location (this seems common and allows good access). Dirty Dingo slider mounts may work as they place the engine ¼” higher than the mounts I use.
Stock radiator core support would need cutting/modifications with this turbo placement. It is doable, I have a customer doing that right now on his car and it’s turning out awesome. The tubular core support in the picture can be included if the buyer is doing local pickup.
