Gas Vs Diesel
Which is best for you?
Well the answer is complicated based on your needs. Many people under size their gasoline powered trucks for towing and overpower their diesel trucks based on their needs. Example: Towing 10,000 pounds with a small Gas V8 vs. Towing 15,000 pounds with a Diesel. If you compare the two in this manner alone the diesel would always win, but what if you where towing 15,000 pounds with an appropriate large V8 gas engine you would find that the gasoline engine would be more economical in the maintenance and upfront costs that the diesel version could never make up in fuel savings. If your towing over 20,000 pounds the choice is obvious. Many fleet buyers will chose gas for the smaller loads since it is cheaper over the life of the truck.
