Ace Fleet Services, LLC provides comprehensive fleet maintenance and repair services in the Victoria and surrounding areas.
The Mobile Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining fleet vehicle’s in excellent, working order and handling service calls at client location and/or roadside, while consistently providing exceptional customer service.
A qualified candidate will possess knowledge and expertise in mechanical and electrical repairs on client’s vehicles, including engine and hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, drivability diagnosis and electrical, metal fabrication and wiring problems.
Responsibilities:
•Perform preventative maintenance on all client’s fleet vehicles according to Ace standards
•Handle basic maintenance of assigned service truck, which includes: routine check of all fluid levels, cleanliness of interior and exterior, and ensure required inspections are performed and documented, as assigned
•Manage, control, and properly stock all inventory on assigned service truck, as needed
•Diagnose mechanical problems on suspension, brake system, electrical system, hydraulic system, engine and transmission
•Maintain up-to-date records on all client vehicle’s by annotating any services and repairs with computer-based software
•Troubleshoot engine and equipment failures utilizing computer-based diagnostic technology
•Follow all safety policies and procedures; participate in all required safety training and meetings
•Complete multi-point vehicle inspections in accordance with preventative maintenance worksheets
•Consistently coordinate with supervisor / service writer for all assigned duties of work, including any parts and time for the job order
Description of Employment:
•5 years experience on heavy-duty truck equipment minimum required
•Full-time/On-Call
•Ability to work Monday through Sunday, as needed
Qualifications:
•High School diploma, or equivalent
Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
•Ability to pass a drug screening, background check and physical exam
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
•Vocational Training and/or Technical Certificate, or equivalent experience
•Provide own tools; possess ability to safely and effectively use them
•Able to perform basic computer operations; demonstrate proper care of assigned computer
•Must be dependable; exhibit appropriate time management skills by reporting to work on time
•Display a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
•Good written and verbal communication skills with a fine attention to detail
Helpful Skills:
•ASE certifications
•OEM Manufacturer Certifications
License/Certification:
•Current, valid Texas Driver’s License (Class A preferred)
•Clean driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by Ace Fleet Services’ insurance carrier
