Mark your calendars for June 26th! It’s our annual camper appreciation weekend as well as the 2nd annual Ryan Miller Memorial Crawfish Boil. In 2019, close COTK friend, Ryan Miller, passed away unexpectedly. Donations are not necessary from campers, but if you would like to contribute, all proceeds from the crawfish boil will be donated to Gracelyn Miller, Ryan’s daughter.

This event is open to the public and we ask for a $15 donation for all the crawfish you can eat or $20 donation for a T-shirt and all the crawfish you can eat from those not camping with us that weekend.

Hey all you crazy campers. Shocker, Windstream can not seem to figure out how to fix their phone lines that have been down since Wednesday. So if you need to get in touch go through FB and I’ll do my best to respond.

That said, don’t forget, tomorrow is the COTK co****le tournament so bring your co****le boards, your co****le bags, your co****le drinks and sign up. There will be some prizes given away and John will be cooking sliders till the supplies run out. After crowning the co****le champs, everyone will have a chance to break into song with Mulberry and the Flathead Lounge Karaoke night. See y’all on the river.

Knocking these all out in one post, so May the Fourth be with you, Feliz Cinco de Mayo, and Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! All teachers camping with us get 15% off through Monday. It’s the least we could do for putting up with kids like John was year after year.

(How many of you think this is actually him in the picture? 😉)

Hey all you crazy campers. With the camping season upon us we would just like to send out some quick reminders.

1. Firewood from outside sources is absolutely prohibited. I know this is a controversial issue but we lose trees every year to our own little lumberjacks. These trees help us keep our river bank intact. When you bring wood from other outside areas there is I very high probability that you are bringing more tree killers to our place, so please be considerate and leave your wood at home. We do offer firewood for campfires, which is a bonus for both us and the campers.

2. Pick up your pets meals from yesterday. All of our patrons and their children hate stepping in dog dodo. I can attest from my own experience that it is nasty, it stinks and it can take hours to clean out an aggressive sole with Q-tips. Plus Mulberry gets extremely upset when he hits a big pile with a weedeater. When this happens, regardless if it’s true or not, you always feel like a small speck hit you in the corner of your mouth, it’s terrifying.

3. Always keep an eye on your children. Not only because the river can be dangerous but any child left unattended will receive an espresso shot and a kitten. Just watch them please, Miss Sue does not run a day care.

4. Keep a neat and tidy campsite, this isn’t Sanford and Sons, we all enjoy a beautiful, relaxing camp.

5. Lastly, let’s all have a great time but let’s act like adults and maintain ourselves. No one likes to see you wake up in the yard missing a flip flop, a tree frog perched on your forehead and a dog licking your cheek.

Thanks bunches, come see us on the river.

Thanks for the meme Candelyn Neubecker you always seemed like the sympathetic, sensitive type....ha

Hey all you crazy campers, it’s almost that time again. I just want to apologize for WNDSTREAMS HORRIBLE SERVICES AGAIN....for the last month our phones have been jacked up and they refuse to fix the problem. Every time someone spills a glass of water our service screws up. Please, if you wish to camp with us be patient and call us back. Hopefully one day we will have a professional corporation come down and offer a reliable phone and internet option. Come see us on the river.

Hey campers, we are open until November 30th. We have spots available for full hook up and tents. Again this week Windstream, the absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with, has again let us down with the phone line. So send us a message on Facebook or just come on down.

See y’all on the river

Hey all you crazy campers, how about this camping weather...this is kind of out of our lane but this Saturday evening at 5:00pm we are having a free chili dinner to help support Joe Graviss and his campaign for KY State Senate District 7, 2020 . I’d like to see Nonesuch show up and support the cause, I’m sure he’d be open to some Q&A but mostly let’s show him he has support in the south end of the county. Everyone is welcome bring your appetite...

Hey all you crazy campers, we hope all is well. So, tomorrow’s music event and fundraiser for Gracelyn Miller is still on as scheduled. Music starts at 8:00 and runs until 11ish. Bring your chairs, coolers and wallets and come listen to some excellent live music. MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN ALL COMMON AREAS. We will have designated social distancing areas marked off that you and your family can sit together and if we run out of marked areas, at this point, we should all know what to do. I hope to see y’all out and about (with a mask, 6 feet apart.)

Hey all you crazy campers! COVID update #547...beginning at 5 PM today, anyone in a common area of the campground must adhere to the Governor’s mandate of wearing a mask. If you choose not to, our facilities will be off limits. Let’s all do our part in preventing the spread of the virus and continue to social distance while enjoying what the Palisades of the Kentucky River has to offer!

Hello COTK family, friends and futures.. I’m overstepping my authority today but what’s new... my great friend, brother, confidant Mulberry aka Jimmy Rice lost his father unexpectedly this morning so please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Ding ding school is in...for everyone that wants to enjoy Gods creation that we call the KY river there are some rules.

#1. Don’t be stupid
#2. Be considerate, this one means if you see a dock or someone fishing do not drive 100mph by it, beating everyone’s stuff to death, NO WAKE....this is a very important rule
#3 if you see someone that needs help, stop and help
#4. If someone ignores number 1 and 2 the golden rule is in effect

Stay safe and be kind

Hey all you crazy campers, I hope all is well. I just wanted to make certain that everyone is aware that the the 2nd Annual Ryan Miller Memorial Crawfish Boil fund raiser is postponed until further notice, hopefully August. #covid19. Hopefully we will get to drink a Corona with some crawfish soon and be able to hang out with friends, family and newcomers. On a good note, we will be having our fireworks for the 4th of July holiday as scheduled but all other activities are canceled. Please practice social distancing and, like you always should, practice good hygiene, (wash your daggone hands people.) See y’all on the river...

Stay classy, Kentucky. #covid19

COTK Coronavirus Update

Hello all you crazy campers…As of today, we are planning on opening our primitive camping sites May 20th with some temporary rules that must be followed by our campers and staff.

1. Campers will be limited on access to the campus. This means that you are paying for your campsite, so please enjoy it. Most all campsites have river view or access so please enjoy these natural amenities. Campers will be allowed to enjoy their site only, all other areas of the campus will be off limits.
2. Bath houses will be accessible, but only 1 adult plus 1 child (in the same party) maximum per visit. Sanitizer will be available for use in the bathrooms. COTK staff will clean bathrooms multiple times each day.
3. Campers will need to practice appropriate social distancing and wear masks anytime they are away from their campsite (when going to and using the bath house).
4. Children (12 and under) outside of the rented campsite must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
5. COTK requests rentals to be prepaid for in full at time of reservation via credit or debit card, all paperwork will be completed by staff prior to arrival. Upon arrival only 1 adult should come to the office window to sign the forms. Exceptions for cash purchases must be discussed at the time of reservation.
6. There will be no access to the store during this period. For any needed items, COTK requests FB messaging, email at [email protected] , phone orders or you can give us a holler if you see us out. A staff member will deliver your products for your camping convenience.
7. Until further notice, the front porch will be closed to folks wanting to hang out, play guitar, sing or chat, as well as the game room, the playground and ball court.
8. At no time, can your campsite have more than 6 people.

We want all our guests to feel comfortable and confident in planning and coming to enjoy our accommodations. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our guests and employees. Remember to practice social distancing and wash your hands often.

Is there any activities going on Memorial Day Weekend? Looking forward to our 1st time there😃
Crap. So sorry man. I don’t know what all the ramifications are but text me or Candy if you think we can help in any way.
Is that your dock floating down the river.
Hi! We saw photos of someone at one of your sites and we are super interested! We were wanting to know if you had any accessible sites for handicap? Our daughter is 5 and in a wheelchair so we would like something level, paved would be great, and would prefer on the water. If you have an accessible site, is there a photo? And which waterfront site is most level? We would love to take her fishing! Thank you! Photo of us and our daughters camper from Make-A-Wish!
