Well not too much to say about the race Saturday night at Lake View Motor Speedway.

Rocky and I busted our tails all week to get the Thunder Bomber converted to Stock v8, we missed one discrepancy between the 2 rulebooks. After the Feature we were DQed for our spoiler height being an inch too tall. I feel like this should’ve been caught in pre race tech especially since deck height was measured. We were told in Pre-Race Tech the shocks on my car had to be changed and we changed them. If the spoiler was brought to my attention, it would’ve been removed from the car. Really sucks to put the hours in the shop and spend the money that it takes to go racing to be disqualified for something as dumb as a spoiler after being passed in Pre-Race Tech. We will make it right and go back after it.

Needless to say we had a very eventful night at the track starting with carburetor issues in qualifying, header falling off in the heat race and then having a pretty decent car in the feature to end up finishing 3rd.

All in all I feel like we had a pretty successful weekend. Tay, Bonnie and I took on a new track and competed with the best cars around. We didn’t start off great but were able to make adjustments before the feature and turn the night around. Really looking forward to Charlotte and can’t wait to see how things go.

Hands down feel like the Monster Thunder Bomber Series is the way to go. Good, Competitive, Affordable racing. What more can a fella ask for?
