The storm is on its way over the hill...
Silver Beach Resort
Silver Beach Resort is a privately owned park located on the northern shore of Waitts Lake in Northeastern Washington State. It started out over 50 years ago as a simple fishing camp and since has developed into a family-oriented business with RV camping, quaint vacation cabins, fine dining and shopping. Whether you’re looking for a vacation full of activities, getting together with friends and family, or you just want to enjoy and reflect on a simpler way of life, Silver Beach Resort has something for you.
The storm is on its way over the hill...
The weather is going to be great for the next couple of days. Our beach and fishing dock are open! You need to be here!
Tara and Randy caught the big ones this weekend!
Someone is enjoying the fishing at Silver Beach Resort!
We had a pretty awesome storm over the weekend but we are all cleaned up and looking great!
Beautiful evening on the lake!
We had such a great Memorial Day Weekend! Thanks everyone who came to join us! The weather wasn't great but everyone made the best of it and the fish cooperated too.
Wow, what a spectacular evening! The pictures do not do the rainbow justice!!
The weather looks a bit ominous right now but the lake is as smooth as glass and the weather is supposed to be good for Memorial Day Weekend. The campground is full this weekend but we still have a few cabins available. Call us to book, 509 937-2811 or book online: https://www.silverbeachresort.com/cabins/
Come fish before the rain starts. The fish are biting and it's beautiful out here. We're open but our public bathrooms are not so please go before you show!
It's been raining all day! This is the calm after the storm...
Fishing has been great on Waitts Lake so far this year! We are open for fishing but are spacing people out on the docks at least six feet apart and are unable to open our public restrooms so go before you show. We also cannot take large groups. Thanks for understanding and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We are trying our best to protect our guests the best way we can.
It is so serene on the lake this morning!
It feels like spring is finally here and everything is in bloom around the lake! Some pretty spectacular views! It's a little bit foggy this morning but that makes the color contrast that much more stark. It will be a glorious day today!
The fish are really biting right now. Perch, rainbows and browns, oh my!
It is the first day of fishing and we're off to a great start! It's a nice day to be on the lake too!!
It was a great weather day today but tomorrow will be even better. We open at 7 am for the first day of fishing. Come join us! We will be practicing social distancing. Our docks are sectioned off. Be safe!
The wind has been fierce today but it's another beautiful day on Waitts Lake!
Good News! It looks like we can open back up for fishing on May 5th! However, we will be strictly enforcing social distancing and our public bathrooms will remained closed for now.
Gov. Inslee announced Monday that golf and recreational fishing could resume on May 5 and many state parks and public lands will reopen as well.
We've been working hard to prepare for our opening. Our front flower beds turned out great!
What a great way to help in your community! Donate blood on Wednesday, April 22nd. Make your appointment with Amber 509-714-6443, or at www.vitalant.org.
The eagle has landed! It's a marvelous day on the lake, clear as glass and Walker says it's a good day to swim too!
Last night's pink moon over Waitts Lake. What a gorgeous view!
The lake has been gorgeous and the weather is starting to warm up a bit. We're doing a bit of clean up while it's quiet...
We are sure missing our Spring guests! Everyone, be safe out there. Life will get back to normal one of these days and hopefully soon!
Well, even if we were open you couldn't fish...
Stay safe, hunker down, stay at home, this will all be over soon and we'll get through it.
All recreational fishing and shell fishing will close Wednesday at midnight.
Saturday and Sunday were "dock days"! We are almost ready for the season to start. If you want to fish, we are allowing individuals to use the docks, one party per dock but our public restrooms are closed until the shelter in place restrictions are lifted.
Update: Per the Washington State stay at home order, we are deemed a non-essential business and have to close our doors and gates to all customers effective Wednesday, March 25th at 5:30 for a minimum of 2 weeks.
We are still planning to open for our regular season. We are allowing RVs now so if you have had a cancellation because of a state or federal campground closure, give us a call 509 937-2811. We have limited spaces but will try to accommodate you. We will take credit cards via phone or online, no in person transactions.
Also, we are practicing social distancing so the public restrooms, office, store and playground equipment are all closed. We are also discouraging any social gatherings but the weather is good and it's a great way to get out without putting yourselves at risk.
The sun is shining and we are in our happy place busily getting ready to open soon!
A Message to Our Silver Beach Resort Customers,
At a time when the world is a scary place and there is a lot of uncertainty, we wanted to reach out to you personally about what we are doing at Silver Beach Resort to support you and your vacation plans for the spring and summer. We know there's a national concern over the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. We are attempting to continue as normal as possible, but we do want our current and future guests to know we take the concerns of our community very seriously.
We have and will continue to have strict standards when it comes to the cleanliness of our facility. The safety and health of our guests has been and will always be a top priority. We anticipate that we will be dealing with this virus for the next several months. We are still planning to open the RV portion of the resort on April 1st and the cabins, store and office April 24th .
Please be assured these are the steps we are taking:
• We continue to closely monitor recommendations issued by the CDC, WHO, Washington State and the Federal Government.
• As we learn of them, we will share vetted tips for best healthy travel practices.
• We allow curbside check in for those with reservations. Customers can call the office for an escort once they arrive and avoid physical contact.
• We have increased the use of antibacterial hand sanitizers.
• We are increasing the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including the office, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.) and have continued the use of strong disinfectants and sanitizers.
• Housekeeping will be given clear and complete instruction on how to not only clean but disinfect hard and soft surfaces and we are taking practical steps to sanitize our park.
• All employees will wash their hands, regularly throughout the day.
• For the near term, group campground activities will be postponed.
• If the health concerns continue, we may limit the office and store hours but will announce those steps as necessary.
As community events are cancelled and more and more restrictions are imposed, we anticipate that families need a place to escape. Being outdoors is highly recommended and bringing your own home is the ultimate social distancing. We will be “business as usual” for as long as possible and welcome you to join us for some solitude and outdoor recreation.
We got some snow Friday and Saturday ~ so much for getting an early spring...
The good news is that it's melting fast. We're looking forward to opening the RV sites on April 1st. Our cabins, office and store will open April 24th.
It's a calm and beautiful morning on the lake. It's going to get very cold this weekend so we're delaying putting the docks in for another week. Opening Day is April 24th. Book now, we have a few cabins and RV sites available still.
It looks like the ice is completely gone. It's been interesting to watch it over the last few weeks. You can see the transition from February 10th to today, pretty drastic changes. Now we're getting lots of rain which is great for fishing and the blooming plants!
The lake is thawing and my flowers are starting to bloom. Hurry up, Spring!!
A gorgeous sunset on the lake tonight. The ice is melting along the edges. Is it true spring is on its way? It's supposed to get up to 54° tomorrow. Almost a heat wave!
We are opening our RV sites starting April 1st and the store and cabins open April 24th. Spring is a great time for fishing so get your reservations booked.
