I was going to take the day off but God works in mysterious ways. We got a call from one of my homies and he had a car that he couldn't get to immediately and the guy was on a road trip. He needed to get going... what sounded like just a CV axle wound up being bad timing for me looking at his car. 2022 Ford Escape with the little three cylinder in it they're kind of known for catastrophic failure on cylinder 2 after a certain age most of them don't see a hundred thousand miles this one had just rolled 95,000. So when I found the number two misfire code I naturally went to pull spark plug... while I was seating my spark plug socket and extension on the spark plug it was so brittle and then if I hit it at the wrong angle it cracked and it broke the porcelain. Some of that porcelain went down into the cylinder I thought I got it all. Long story short cleared the porcelain out of the cylinder by taking the plugs out and cranking the car over got it back together and it didn't want to stay running so I went back in took the plugs out and this is about the time I was finding out this was a not so uncommon thing and had nothing to do with what I did I did take the boroscope in there and make sure there were no bent valves afterwards I did a compression test one in three were fine and cylinder number two had no compression and because I didn't have enough time to get to it we opted to take it to his mechanic back in Tulsa. Got to Tulsa to drop the car off 11:20 p.m. made it to Popeyes with 5 minutes to spare it's been almost 3 years to the day since the last time I had Popeyes. Anyways so on the way home we're tooling along doing Turnpike speed if you know you know... I saw a car with their flashers on and they were just really really far off the road and something told me to stop and it just happened to be somebody headed to Dallas that has an event to go to and she wound up with two flat tires at the same time she's not going because she wants to she's going because she has to family comes first and she took every bit of money she had to go to Dallas so she was getting a motel for the night anyway I loaded her car up on my trailer and got her to a motel and I'll drop her car off then I'll go back in the morning do what I can to fix the tires and since I was already headed back this way anyway I didn't charge her for the tow. When she asked how much I said God sent me he'll take care of it. So if you know of anybody that has 225/65-16s she needs two I will find a way to mount them for free if somebody can donate them. Pig is definitely putting her work in now and even at 252,000 miles she is showing me why I have driven Dodge trucks for the last 15 years and continue to build my Fleet with Dodge trucks.
