One of our very skilled technicians, Fabio, made this video showing the process of converting a 1970 FJ40 from a 3-speed column shift to a H55f 5-speed transmission and split transfer case.
The pieces used for the transmission tunnel cover are actually a scrap 2F oil pan!

PT1.
The long time owner of this 1997 FZJ80 reached out to us after another shop diagnosed a misfire as low compression. After confirming the diagnostic, a full vehicle inspection and a long conversation, he elected to have us perform a full mechanical refresh on the vehicle so it would be good to go for another 30 years.
In addition to engine repair, it also needed a complete overhaul on the cooling system, exhaust, brakes and suspension.

We were recently reached out to by a local couple looking to get into a FJ40 as a fun spare vehicle, after some guided shopping and prepurchase inspections they fell in love with this almost completely original 1967 model.

It definitely was overdue for some maintenance but is in incredible rust free original shape, something we rarely see on this side of country.

The previous owner described it as an around town only car, claiming it really only went about 40-45mph. Which of course meant something was wrong.

The entire throttle linkage and gas pedal was completely worn out allowing only about 50% throttle. Fortunately with only a little bit of tinkering and adjustment we were able to get it operating fully and it’s like a new truck already! Next up, spring bushings and tie rod ends!

It was a great experience getting to help some great customers and new friends find the right Cruiser for them.

This 1999 UZJ100 came by for one of our thorough pre-work vehicle inspections.
In this case we will be breaking this vehicles full baseline into size-able portions instead of doing everything all at once, so we started with replacing all the brakes, hoses, as well as the CV’s and drive flanges. All OEM, of course. We keep all these parts in stock so there was no hold up. We’re looking forward to seeing in later for fixing those bushings, oil leaks, and getting that cooling system up to date!

We did a lot of major work to this gorgeous 1977 model FJ40 about two years ago and the owner has been driving almost daily since. However, he was ready for some upgrades, so this brought it back and upgraded his AC to the latest Vintage Air Gen 5 setup, added a bigger Vibrant Performance stainless steel muffler, and swapped a set of 3.70:1 third members in.
All together this will make a quieter, and cooler experience on those hot Florida highways.

RHD JDM LX470.

CruiserMatt’s team had the opportunity to work on a JDM LX470. The truck arrived with an inoperable center locking motor. Once the motor was removed from the transfer case we discovered it was completely seized would no longer engage. Our team was prepared for the job and had the motor ready for installation along with OEM transfer case sealant. The motor was replaced and the truck is ready for its next adventure!

We had the pleasure of this very original 1-owner FZJ80
(The current owner inherited it from his family who bought it new) in for a complete service.
As usually on mostly original 80 series, we did a complete cooling system overhaul, front crankshaft and oil pump cover seals, knuckles, brake hoses, etc. We also replaced his AC registers, shifter cover, shock absorbers, antenna motor, fan shroud, and even his front bumper with new OEM Toyota parts. As usual we were able to procure all of the parts for the project so the vehicle owner did not need to worry about finding anything himself. He’s now for ready for another 30 years of reliable service!

1978 FJ40 In for a complete re-wire using OEM wire and connectors all kept in stock. This truck will also be receiving a Dakota Digital RTX cluster to replace the original gauges. The team will also be adding several key on power ports to the harness and truck as well as cleaning up some aftermarket speaker wires.
