We are in need of several qualified candidates with immediate openings. We are looking for second shift operators that will show up EVERYDAY and are willing to stick around until the job is done. We have one Kenworth rollback and one Ram 5500 rollback open and fully equipped for the right candidate. Competitive pay, health care, retirement and uniforms provided. Clean MVR, clean background check and ability to pass a drug screening. Please stop in and ask for Levi or Winter.

Did you know that we have four skidsteers, three broom attachments and a spreader attachment for any size spill cleanup? We also have 10,000lbs(yes you read that right) 10,000lbs of floor dry on hand at all times. This along with two dump trailers and multiple construction dumpsters allows us to quickly respond and begin cleaning the roadway for reopening. Not many can say they have those resources in house.

Our Heavy Duty operators took advantage of the beautiful weather last week to do some familiarization with our new Versa-maxx trailer. We happened to have a motor home sitting around as well as a big truck. This trailer had plenty of room and didn’t even need to be stretched(even though we did). We look forward to hauling your specialty loads

It’s not always business around here. Sometimes it’s about support fellow businesses in our area. Tomorrow 4/15/23 Western Hills Music is having a pop up Lego Shop. They are open 10-4 and have all sorts of mini figs, sets and mix/match bricks. They may even buy your old Legos(not for sure but worth trying). Stop on in and pick up some Legos and a guitar or two.

Pardon our dust for the next few days but some serious progress happened today. Permits were approved and demolition began on the old Sunoco station. Building is down but will take a couple days to separate materials for removal and recycling of as much of the materials as possible. Thanks to our wonderful neighbors especially Ken Wassler, Nate from Western Hills Music and all the guys at Body Works for your help and support.

Here is a paper roll job we did in Maysville, KY on 2/8/23. The rolls were bunched at the front of the trailer and driver pulled off the edge of the pavement and put the trailer in a bad twist. Once the rolls were transferred to a new trailer we were able to use e-track straps to secure the sides of the trailer for travel back to Cincinnati. Call Schaffer’s for all your paper roll needs.

Today Jeff and Winter assisted in moving a 1917 Ahrens Fox Ladder truck. This apparatus went from it home in Delhi out to its new home at the Salty Dog Museum where it will be restored and well kept. Thanks to everyone involved for once again allowing us to help. If anyone needs any antique equipment moved Schaffer’s has the equipment and expertise to safely complete your move.

It’s been just over a year but here are some before, during and afters of Phase Two of our expansion. (Phase One was getting rid of 9,000 junk cars). Phase Three will be making the the building disappear (it will be our best trick ever!!!)

Something to consider with winter weather expected to impact this week's holiday travel.

Tow trucks are not magical vehicles that can drive anywhere, in any conditions! If you are too scared to drive your own vehicle in the snow, or get up or down the snowy icy hill you are now stuck on, there’s a pretty good chance the tow truck isn’t making it there also. Our equipment will get to you when conditions safely allow.

Stay home until the weather passes! If not, be prepared to pay a tow/recovery bill. Some can be pretty expensive depending on the risk we have to put our operators and equipment in assist our customers. Tow trucks and skilled operators are not cheap.

Also if you see a tow truck on the side of the road working, slow down and move over! Or if the tow truck operator has to block the road to do his/her job safety, don’t get mad, be understanding and patient, we don’t want to hold anyone up -but sometimes you have to.

I want all of our people working and all others clearing up the roads, to come home safe. So think about what you’re doing, it could affect more than just you!

Make sure if you are traveling in this upcoming weather you're prepared with blankets, fuel, food, etc.. as if you do find yourself needing help, you may be having to wait a while until road conditions improve or just until a service provider can get to you.

Do you think it’s enough room to work as a towing and recovery operator while cars are passing at 65-70? These are the same people that will crawl past cyclists while straddling the center line. These are also the people that jam on their brakes when they see a cop to avoid a ticket. Please Slow Down and Move Over. Our lives and families depend on it.

Schaffer’s Towing would like to announce that we have once again teamed up with Delhi Township Police. This year we want to help bring awareness to Prostate Cancer. November is National Men’s Health Awareness Month and we will be selling shirts to spread the word and raise money for this worthy cause. Last year we teamed up to sell 289 shirts for childhood cancer and were able to donate several thousand dollars to the Dragonfly Foundation. We would like to shatter that number this year. Newest addition to the fleet, M.T. #105 made her first run today incognito. This is a an International MV with extended cab and a 23’ Century bed. A spiral staircase pickup in Indy and some processing equipment in Illinois.
