This was a fun project, this E36 was in pretty good shape when it arrived. After decon and prep the paint wasn’t in the best condition, lots of random isolated scratches and swirls all throughout and all the plastic trim was faded out from years of sun exposure. Being that the paint readings were pretty thin there was no wet sanding performed to preserve the original paint. I started with a heavy rotary cut to knock down all the defects and then followed with a DA to refine holograms and micro marring in preparation for the Gtechniq North America CSL & ExoV5 Coating, trim was restored using C4 Permanent Trim Restorer and the soft top was coated with Smart Fabric V2 leaving this nearly 30 year old BMW in fantastic condition & protected for years to come!
