So, today, I went to A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation. Not to adopt an animal, but to volunteer. Since retiring, I've been at a loss for motivation and lack a schedule, trouble sleeping and so on. So, I thought volunteering to help with this shelter might be fun and get me into something, basically for a head adjustment.
ARF is a foster care facility, not a kennel. They aim for 100% placement. All animals are spayed and neutered plus given all the health care they need. It's not cheap to take care of a multitude of animals like this so donations are very important. Adoption fees don't cover everything. Here's a link! They need foster homes and volunteers!
Applicants outside the immediate Tulsa area must have excellent veterinary records in their name for current or recent cats or dogs.
