In the current market it’s easy to assume that all special sports cars, supercars & hypercars will perform well over time, but those of us who have seen the ups & downs of multiple market cycles know that is simply not the case — that’s why it’s important to have a market expert in your corner who can guide you on what is worth buying, and more importantly, what cars are best avoided!

While making a sale is great, there is nothing like the feeling of saving our most loyal clients from making 6 or even 7-figure mistakes.

Sold! Sterling Sackey Cars is proud to have conveyed this exceptional 2016 Ferrari F12tdf to a repeat client. This stunning tdf is finished in factory Rosso Berlinetta triple-layer pearl paint over Black leather Daytona racing seats with special central stripe in Red, and shows just 1,200 miles from new.

This example carries an original MSRP of approximately $637,500 and is equipped with a highly desirable factory specification, including extensive carbon fiber options (air filter box cover, air intakes, engine cover, headlight buckets, under-door covers, rear shelf, rear bench trim, dashboard inserts, and more), Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), yellow brake calipers, Alcantara central tunnel, and $78k in further items that didn’t fit on the original window sticker!

Thanks to for making the process an easy one.

Car Magazine got their first taste of the F12tdf on the road in December 2015 — “First impressions beyond the outright speed, which feels even more outrageous on narrow roads, the hair-trigger throttle and the or****ic soundtrack? It’s stiff. Not harsh, but very noticeably less pliant than the standard F12, and softening the dampers with the steering wheel ‘bumpy road’ button doesn’t make as much difference as it does in the Berlinetta either. But the good news is that you need absolutely no acclimatization to understand the tdf’s road manners. On real roads, where you’re never likely to get near the Pirelli P Zero Corsas’ lofty limits, you can focus on that incredible front end, the excellent brake feel and power, and trying to find a straight long enough to wring the V12 out to its 8900rpm maximum. The original Tour de France that Ferrari dominated wasn’t circuit-based but a road race, and it’s on the road that this F12 really starts to get under your skin. ‘For me the tdf is more fun on the road than LaFerrari because you can push more,’ [Ferrari test driver Raffaele de] Simone told me earlier. Now, hours later, he doesn’t seem quite so mad.”

Carrera GT #0534 finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Dark Grey has today reset the benchmark for a ‘silver’ Carrera GT, with a $3,085,000 sale taking place at RM Sotheby’s Phoenix, Arizona sale.

This 2,147 mile example checked many of the right CGT boxes — recent major service, healthy clutch, full luggage set, etc., but it was finished in a relatively unadventurous color combination that isn’t usually expected to set records. Seal Grey, while rare, typically fetches values not far from the much more common GT Silver, and is certainly nowhere close to the top of most collectors’ lists as the other ‘standard’ colors of Black, Basalt Black, Fayence Yellow, or Guards Red.

We suppose that when compared to another iconic supercar with a manual transmission and carbon construction, the Ferrari F50, which sold in the same sale for $8,805,000 in the most common color and with 8,195 miles from new, the Carrera GT still seems quite good value.

That said, one must ask themselves, how long can prices continue to rise for modern & modern classic supercars in the current market?
