Throwback to 2017. This customer needed a rear mounted main electrical kill switch but didn’t want to drill his trunk or bumper. Instead, I deleted one reverse light and installed the kill switch in a block off plate. This switch runs to trunk mounted battery.

We Have Moved!!!
Chesapeake Speed Shop has relocated to 6809 Loch Raven Blvd Towson MD 21286

With this change in location we are also changing our service offerings.

We are now focusing on ELECTRICAL system design, fabrication and installation for street rod, restoration, and performance applications; both on-road and off-road.
We are capable of:
-Harness design, fabrication and installation
-Audio system design, fabrication and installation
-Vintage A/C Systems
-Electrical sub-panel and enclosure design, fabrication and installation
-Diagnostics, troubleshooting, service and repair for electrical issues

We would like to thank all of our friends, customers and associates that supported us during our first year in business in New Windsor. Last month certain individuals forced a bad situation, and as a result we have transferred operations to a new shop in Towson.

Our electrical services have always been in high demand, so since we are operating in a new, smaller space we have decided to prioritize our most requested services so that we can continue to serve the performance and street rod communities of Maryland to the best of our abilities. Been so busy lately that I’ve gotten away from social media updates, so here’s one last post for 2022.
This morning I removed the heavy, quiet stock muffler from this 2016 AWD Dodge Durango R/T and welded in a set of dual 3” resonators, which were provided by the customer.
Now this V8 SUV has some bark to match its bite!

Jeep Update! We’re coming down the home stretch over the next two weeks as we finish Roger Roop’s 1942 Ford GPW for the Mason-Dixon Jeep Gathering put on by Hanson Mechanical later this month. I’m just about finished repairing a combination of rust damage and blowtorch “modifications” done by a previous owner. This restoration will be powered by a later L134 flathead from an M38, which will be directed through an M38 spec T-90 transmission. Follow over the next 2 weeks as this 80 year old jeep comes back to life!

This week I wrapped up this 1965 F100 Styleside bed project. The entire bed floor was rusted out and the owner wanted to replace the rust with a tubular structure to support a custom made, elevated wood bed floor. The bed corner needed to be replaced to locate the new rear crossmember, but otherwise the original patina has been left intact.
