Statement from Laird Noller Automotive Group Regarding Recent FTC Warning Letter

Laird Noller Automotive Group is aware of a recent news article regarding a warning letter received from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). We believe it is important to provide additional context for our customers, employees, and community.

The correspondence received by Laird Noller Automotive Group was one of approximately 97 warning letters sent to dealership groups across the United States as part of a broad industry initiative. The letter is not an allegation of wrongdoing, nor is it a finding that Laird Noller Automotive Group violated any law or regulation. It is not an enforcement action, lawsuit, or settlement.
The examples included within the FTC's letter were illustrative examples intended to remind dealerships of the Commission's expectations regarding advertising and consumer disclosures. They were not identified as violations committed by Laird Noller Automotive Group.

As one of the region's highest-volume dealership groups, Laird Noller was among the many dealers that received this industry-wide communication. We appreciate the FTC's efforts to educate dealers on evolving regulatory expectations and are fully cooperating by reviewing our policies and procedures to ensure we continue to meet and exceed all applicable federal and state requirements.

We also want to clarify that Laird Noller Automotive Group has no affiliation with Kia, and any references to Kia-related matters in recent reporting are unrelated to our organization.
