To our fellow drivers, friends, fans and supporters…

Some of you may remember but most of you probably don’t, Joe Ascoli was a member of MPR for a brief period of time during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Although we are no longer associated with him, after watching everyone come forward with their stories of Joe and some people reaching out to us, we thought it was necessary to make a statement. Our relationship with Joe started out like many of you; driving events together, hanging out at our shop, working on cars together. Things were fine for a while but by the end, things were done, parts were ‘borrowed’ and not returned and we parted ways on bad terms. We won’t go into details because frankly, what happened to some of our team members is minor compared to what we’re hearing has happened to others.

The east coast drift community is tight knit and one of the best communities of people out there. Our hearts go out to those that lost substantial amounts of money and invested time. Hopefully we can all learn from this and when we see something sketchy going on, we can speak up before it’s too late. Like most of you, we should have said something 5 years ago, but also like most of you, we’re kind hearted people that will give somebody the benefit of the doubt till the very end.

Here’s to moving onward and upward in 2022, and calling people on their bu****it when we see it…
