VWs Over the Skyway VWs Over the Skyway began in 1995 with a group of friends who wanted to cruise their Volkswagen Buses over the Skyway Bridge.

In 1995, a group of VW Bus owners decided to get together and have a cruise over the Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay. That small gathering has now grown into what is known today as VWs Over the Skyway. The event happens the 4th weekend in April every year, and is now not only the Sunday cruise, but also a weekend of camping, camaraderie, and cars.

A year ago today I was with some amazing Volkswagen people that helped me at a time when needed most. I completed my chemo surgery and radiation. I want to thank you all for your support. I am cancer free. I love you all
