After a few months of work GRP 260D is ready to go home.
Work included fitting a reconditioned clutch and flywheel, service, MOT preparation and present for MOT.
A big thank to Network Bus and Truck Parts Ltd for their help with getting the clutch and flywheel reconditioned, highly recommended.

In the workshop this weekend has been this little gem.

It has been with us all winter, with the warmer weather we decided it was time to get the tank out and fully diagnose the mis firing issues.

After some careful investigations conducting various tests plus the using an endoscope inside the tank, we soon realised that there was a layer of paraffin in the bottom of the tank which was preventing fuel being picked up to the lift pump & beyond.

After a thorough wash of the tank & new lift pump fitted we are pleased to report it’s running perfect again.

Have you ever wondered what the small, square hole is in the front panel of RBD 111M? Well wonder no more! When the gear linkage was being dismantled, we realised that the small hole was directly in line with the linkage, which, when assembled, is around 15 foot long! So at some point in the past, at least 40 years ago, the linkage had been replaced and an engineer with some forethought cut the hole to get the linkage out and back in! Seen here today is the new linkage being inserted to then be fully assembled underneath the vehicle. Thanks to Richard at Big Bus Repairs the vehicle is now back together and drivable, so we hope that it will make it out to some events later in the year.

This 1982 Volvo B10M has recently under gone some work here at Big Bus Repairs in the past week. ✅

It was new to Whippet Coaches and recently featured at the Fenland Classic Vehicle Show in Ramsey.
