Ongoing progress with the Thunderbird’s new hood. Original hood scoop successfully bonded to the new hood. Hood scoop supports fitted. Closing in on being able to pull all the body parts and send them to paint.

Jay Ross Motorsports Pro Stock Thunderbird T Shirt artwork is done! Noted Chicago Motorsport artist Dave Ferrin of Ferrin Motorsport Graphics has knocked it out of the park again. He’ll send the color separation to our screen printer - Lance Beesley and the 2.95 guys in Poway, California for our initial order

More progress on the Thunderbird at Doug Schmitt’s Pro Stock Restorations & Recreations shop in Illinois. New door hinges, door reinforcements and modified battery box for modern size racing battery

Additional work happening on the Jay Ross Motorsports TBird. Original door hinges replaced with modern updated units that will make door removal much easier. Original Holley Blue fuel pumps replaced with Magnafuel Pro Star 500 pump. Some corner modifications to the Hairy Glass front end to reduce the bowing up of the center of the front end when the lower portion of fenders are fastened in. The door jambs will have some excess metal trimmed up. The original steel rear Koni Shocks will be upgraded to double adjustable modern aluminum shocks (either Afco, Koni or Strange). Doug Schmitt and crew are hard at it.
