Last Friday David & Michael had the privilege to meet and talk to Professor Jerry Fitch of Oklahoma State University Professor Jerry has been at OSU since 1987 in his role Extension Specialist for Sheep and in 1999 become a Professor in Animal & Food Science.
We received a tour of the Sheep barn at OSU and then we travelled to the Feedtech Auto Feeder where we gave the Professor a demonstration and discussed the advantages of the Auto Feeder.
Thank you to Dr Wyatt Catron (Vet) for arranging the visit. Wyatt was a graduate of OSU.

On Saturday 24th August Paragon Ranch in Stillwater Oklahoma hosted the first Feedtech Auto Feeder field day in the USA. A huge thank you goes to Wyatt & Sam Catron for purchasing the first Feedtech Auto Feeder in North America. David & Michael from Feedtech Feeding Systems travelled from Australia to be a part of the day. They both had a great day and received positive feedback. The US & Australian markets are very different but there is a need for an Auto Feeder for the Sheep & Goat markets in the US. The labor savings are massive, no need to lift buckets, more control of feeding amounts and will help to increase flock sizes as less labor intensive to feed out. Great for induction, containment feeding & feedlotting. And as Wyatt said “the auto feeder does not need days off or holidays”.
