Polaris sportsman wheel bearings. Bearings locked up causing hub to wear into the inner bearing race. This caused odd pressure and wearing of the brakes. This was caught in time and new wheel bearings on 4 corners and new brake pads and this wheeler is back in business. Moral of the story? Don’t ignore bad noises. The longer you ignore, the more expensive it gets…

Fellow biker broke down right in front of the shop. Rectifier regulator quit on him and ran out of battery voltage right here. McDermotts had his part in stock and I had his bike running and charging in 24hrs.

Trick of the day to get the most out of your early 2000s carbureted bikes. The idle air jet is usually blocked off for emissions purposes. after years of ethanol they need to get cleaned and most times they are very lean from the factory. Take a small drill (1/8”) and drill it enough to get a sheet metal screw in there to extract the brass plug to expose the idle air jet. Rule of thumb is to start with it backed out 2 full turns from bottom and fine tune from there.
