To our valued customers:
There have been several negative posts in the last 36 hours regarding IAP Racing. The majority of these posts stem from two individuals, both of whom plead guilty in court on Tuesday, 12/04/2018 to criminal charges against IAP Racing’s management staff. We would like to note that it is IAP’s policy to find customer resolution and provide customer satisfaction to the greatest extent possible. Unfortunately, such an outcome is not possible in this situation given several factors leading up to 12/04/2018. We have been asked not to share those details at this time, and will hold off on sharing further information regarding these individuals and details of the criminal charges until an appropriate time pending further legal guidance.
With that said, we are a small business that has been around for four years now and have just over 600 customers. For the most part we have had a great reputation with almost all of them. Not to say we have been perfect; however, we have always stepped up to the plate if there was wrong on our part. One of the individuals responsible for the flurry of negative reviews in the last 36 hours has been a customer for a few years now. The statement regarding this individual conducting over $200,000 in business with IAP Racing is patently false. A review of our holdings shows that this customer has done $22,192.54 in business with IAP Racing outside of the work done to his Porsche 993. In short, much of the details provided by this individual in his social media posts are inaccurate, deceitful and are perceived by IAP Racing as an intentional attempt to slander IAP Racing, and cause financial damage to IAP Racing’s financial standing. Furthermore, the Porsche 993 was delivered in July of 2016 and the customer was delinquent on payments for almost 18 months. The shop’s daily storage fee is $55, which is clearly posted at the prior location and our current location. Due to this client’s delinquent payments, IAP has suffered great financial losses equating to much more than what the client has paid to date. Should this client pay his outstanding storage and transportation fees, IAP will issue a refund once the check has cleared. For this customer we will not accept any form of credit card payment, given the fraudulent charge backs dating to May of 2018 for services rendered on the client’s various vehicles.
IAP Racing does not accept or tolerate criminal activity against IAP or IAP’s employees. Any violation of the law or court ordered requirements will be reported to the prosecuting attorney as well as local law enforcement, per the Virginia Commonwealth Attorney’s request. We at IAP Racing also want to recognize and thank all of our customers that have stood behind and supported us. We absolutely could not do this without you. We will continue to make you our priority.
Have a great day.
IAP Racing Team
