Meet the Business Owner: Wayne J. Wayne, a Virginia Native, has over 25 years of professional experience in automotive repair - over 20 of them as an ASE Certified "Master Technician". He is genuinely friendly and is well known for being respectful and honest with his customers.

Mission: The clinic was opened to fulfill the vision of becoming a local business that would be recognized by it's personally branded service. Today that vision has been fleshed out into an organization of technicians that mirror a standard of excellence in automotive repair. The reason for this is training. In addition, unlike many repair shops, Dulles Auto Clinic regularly invests in new technologies to meet the demand of new cars as they come to market. * We are an ASE "Blue Seal" certified shop so over 74% of our technicians carry ASE certifications! * We are a "Napa AutoCare Center" so you can count on having only quality parts installed on your vehicle! * Unlike other repair shops we have operated as "Dulles Auto Clinic, Inc." continuously for the entirety of time since establishment. In Virginia, always verify the background of the repair shop you do business with by checking with the "Virginia Corporation Commission Office of The Clerk"

2020 Virginia Vehicle Inspection Stickers Redesigned: New Safety Approval Sticker Promotes “#MoveOver” Safety Message

The VSP Safety Division is rolling out a newly-designed vehicle safety approval inspection sticker that now includes a traffic safety message. Effective Jan. 1, 2019, all certified Virginia inspection stations began issuing the sticker which has been reduced from 2.75 inches in height to 2 inches and from 4 inches in length to 3 inches. The year of expiration is now permanently affixed to the right side of the sticker, with the only insert being the month of expiration. Even though the overall size has been reduced, the month has been enlarged to provide better visibility.

“The change in size is in response to the feedback State Police received from Virginians following the sticker’s relocation to the bottom left corner of the windshield in 2018,” said Captain R.C. Maxey Jr., Virginia State Police Safety Division Commander. “We heard from a number of motorists who had difficulty seeing around the sticker, so we worked to reduce its size to slightly smaller than the average credit card.”

The sticker’s security features have also been enhanced in order to discourage and prevent unauthorized removal, tampering and counterfeit practices. The changes in size and design do not apply to motorcycle or trailer safety inspection stickers. Vehicle rejection stickers also remain unchanged.

Another new feature of the inspection sticker enables State Police to reach an estimated 8.2 million motorists annually with a reminder about Virginia’s “Move Over” law. This portion of the sticker is not for display on the front windshield. Instead, it is detached by the inspector and provided to the customer. Virginia’s “Move Over” law requires motorists to move over a lane when approaching an emergency vehicle stopped alongside the road. If unable to move over, then drivers are required to cautiously pass the emergency vehicle. The law applies to all vehicles equipped with red, blue and amber lights.

The placement of the sticker was changed in 2018 from the center of the windshield to the bottom, left corner due to safety concerns related to automotive innovations in recent years. The center placement of the sticker could prevent a vehicle’s crash avoidance system from operating properly.

Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies Among Those Recognized at 30th Annual Valor Awards http://go.usa.gov/3Duxe

Loudoun County, VA- Three Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies were among those recognized Friday at the 30th Annual Valor Awards ceremony held at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia.

Deputy First Class Casey B. Macomber received the Lifesaving Award, and his father, Edward Macomber, received the Meritorious Civilian Award for their lifesaving actions in January 2014. The two were at an outpatient facility for John’s Hopkin’s Hospital where DFC Macomber was staying following a bone marrow transplant after he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2013. Suddenly, a woman who was also a cancer patient and resident at the facility went into cardiac arrest. DFC Macomber rushed to the woman’s aid. With his mask on his face, he started chest compressions while his father initiated mouth-to-mouth breathing. Their actions extended the woman’s life, but she would ultimately succumb to complications from her surgery a few days later. DFC Macomber, while dealing with a deadly illness provided lifesaving assistance even with the dangers of having contact with others due to his fragile immune system. His father, a retired Secret Service Agent, demonstrated the professionalism, courage and commitment to service that are the hallmarks of a law enforcement professional’s service.

Deputy First Class Brandon Leigh and Senior Deputy Earl Haussling were conducting an eviction in March 2014 when upon entry into the home DFC Leigh found a person unconscious and bleeding. DFC Leigh called out to SD Haussling for assistance and the two began rendering aid to the victim, while reaching out for additional medical support. Their actions saved the person’s life and he was taken to an area trauma center where he made a full recovery from self-inflicted wounds.

Also during the event, Sheriff Michael L. Chapman and Loudoun County Fire-Chief W. Keith Brower recognized two Gold Medal of Valor Honorees from Loudoun County.

Sheriff Chapman recognized Deputy Charles Barton who lost his life in August 1995 after a plane crash in Georgia during the transport of a fugitive back to Loudoun. Instead of exiting the plane himself, Deputy Barton stayed on board to help others out of the wreckage. He succumbed to injuries he sustained in the fire a few days later. Barton was posthumously awarded the Gold Medal of Valor in 1996.

Chief Brower recognized Lt. John Earley, who was seriously injured in a house fire in Leesburg in May 2008. Lt. Earley was inside the single family home when conditions rapidly deteriorated. A mayday was reported and crews inside reported a flashover. Lt. Earley fell from the top floor and was on fire. He was transported to an area hospital. Lt. Earley was awarded the Gold Medal of Valor in 2009.

Loudoun Sheriff Chapman and members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office leadership team and command staff attended the awards ceremony. “The men and women recognized today showed extraordinary selflessness in their actions by going above and beyond to help save the life of another person,” said Sheriff Chapman.

The Loudoun County Valor Awards program awards were established by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the local public safety agencies, to recognize and acknowledge members of the various public safety departments, as well as everyday citizens, who have placed themselves in harm's way over the past year to ensure the safety of others.

Also recognized at the event were members of the Town of Leesburg Police Department and seven citizens.

The featured Master of Ceremonies at this year’s awards ceremony was ABC 7/WJLA-TV reporter Jeff Goldberg.
