“iT’s GoInG tO LeAvE oVeRsPrAy” 🥱
And it takes about two minutes to wipe off.
Funny how spending 30–40 minutes applying dressing by hand is fine, but cleaning up a little overspray is where we draw the line.
Applying it manually can leave patches, streaks, and missed spots. Can you really reach every crevice, door seal, and tight space with an applicator?
Spraying helps me reach those areas, then I wipe everything down for an even finish.
I use a water-based dressing, keep the windows down, and clean up the overspray before the job is finished. Faster application doesn’t mean skipping the finishing touches.
The finish speaks for itself. This client left an $80 tip and a five-star review.
Before criticizing a method, try it. You might end up adding it to your own process.
If two minutes of wiping overspray is too much work, detailing might be the wrong business for you.
