Earlier this week, Bill Federhofer passed away while surrounded by his family and loved ones! He was 88 years young and was still very active within the bakery that he opened with his wife in 1966. For 60 years, this bakery was much more than a business to him: it was his life’s work, his passion, and a reflection of everything he believed in. He poured his heart and soul into it every single day, and there was no greater pride than knowing that his hard work provided for the family he loved so much!
For him and his family, the bakery represented countless early mornings, long days, hard work, sacrifice and perseverance! It was a family effort in every sense of the word. Through six decades and three generations he helped build something truly special, not just a bakery but a legacy!
We are truly heartbroken by his passing, but we are incredibly proud of the life he built and the legacy he leaves behind. His work meant everything to him, and his family meant even more!
He took enormous pride in serving Affton and St. Louis communities in knowing that his family built something that had become a tradition for many others!
To everyone who has supported our bakery over the last 60 years: THANK YOU! Thank you for allowing him and our family to be a part of your lives! Thank you for making our bakery a part of your own family traditions!
