Diesel is now $5.60 a gallon in missouri but customers still expect businesses to charge yesterday’s prices.
Let that sink in.
A service company doesn’t just pay for fuel. We pay for trucks, equipment, insurance, payroll, chemicals, repairs, maintenance, taxes, and the people behind the scenes keeping everything moving.
So when a legitimate company raises its prices, it doesn’t automatically mean the owner is getting greedy.
Sometimes it means they’re trying to keep good employees paid, keep reliable equipment on the road, and still be in business when you need them next year.
We operate multiple diesel trucks, haul heavy equipment, and travel across Georgia and surrounding states to complete projects. At $5.60 a gallon, every mile matters.
This is why I constantly say
Revenue is impressive but profit is what keeps the doors open.
Being busy doesn’t mean you’re making money.
And if your prices don’t change when your expenses change, eventually you won’t have a business left to price.
