Good info. Stay safe out there!
Drivers in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties can expect additional road and aerial enforcement from law enforcement over the next few days as part of a multi-agency Area Coordinated Enforcement (ACE) initiative to reduce collisions and fatalities in our state.
The SC Highway Patrol, the State Transport Police, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division - SLED, Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, Union County Sheriff's Office, and other law enforcement network partners will be patrolling from the roads and the air from Friday, June 21, through Sunday, June 23 along I-26, I-85, I-585, US-29, US-176, US-221, SC-290, SC-296, and other roads in the Upstate area.
This enforcement effort includes multi-agency coordination and aerial support to enhance our efforts to keep everyone on the road safe during the upcoming weekend. Troopers and officers will focus on enforcing all traffic violations with a special emphasis on violations that are commonly associated with collisions involving serious injuries or death.
