Now Hiring: Vehicle Conversion Technician | HQ Custom Design

HQ Custom Design is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Master Upfitter and industry-leading builder of luxury and commercial vans, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, mobile offices, command centers, specialty commercial vehicles, and custom van conversions. With over 30 years of craftsmanship behind us, we're growing — and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.

We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual with basic electrical knowledge or experience to join our growing team as a 12-Volt Electrical Installer/Technician. Experience with automotive, marine, RV, or low-voltage electrical systems is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, excellent mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing high-quality work to join our team.

Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
• Install vehicle accessories, electronics, lighting, and interior components
• Route wiring and assist with 12V electrical installations
• Audio/video equipment, battery systems, Starlink systems, and other vehicle accessories
• Follow installation drawings and work instructions
• Perform basic troubleshooting and quality control checks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Experience (Not Required):
• Automotive accessories installation
• Car audio, remote start, or alarm systems
• RV or marine systems
• Electrical or low-voltage wiring
• Emergency lights
• Sprinter, Transit, or commercial vehicle experience

Compensation:
• Competitive pay based on experience
