Round 2!!

Branch is headed in for his surgery now. 1 month between both kids having surgery sure is rough. Those that really know Branch, know he's the wild one. This will be a very interesting next few weeks. Keep him in your prayers!!!

So today we did a little something different and man did we have an absolute blast. 6 kids entered the Stacyc bikes race. It was the kids first ever Stacyc bikes race. Corbin too 1st place in the first moto and Branch brought home a solid 2nd place finish. In moto 2, Corbin took home first place again, with Branch finishing 3rd. These kids looked like they had been racing these for a while. Corbin fully understood what it meant to get the holeshot and man did he. Moto 2 he was fully committed and shut the door on another rider rolling into turn 1. Definitely proud of my boys today!!!

Here's a little throwback.

When I had my modified, I ran the number 343. It had a meaning to me. On 9-11-01, there was 343 firemen killed in the terrorist attacks. As a 3rd generation firemen, it means something to me. I was only in 6th grade when the attacks happened but it made me realize I wanted to be a fireman as well. 25 years later, it dont get any easier. Its still a memory that will forever be burned into my mind.

Corbin tried to take himself out again 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Hes been almost 3 weeks of no activity and he's definitely making up for it. After the 2nd wreck, we thought he may have broken his collar bone. An hour later, he's ripping it again. We got his race car ready and loaded up, finished the spare motor and got everything cleaned up. It was around 1130 last night and looks at me and says, "Dad, you think I could ride my dirt bike for a little bit?"

Kid, it's midnight!!! You have a baseball game and a big race. You're going to bed. So there he goes, pouting and stomping in the house 🤣🤣

Yup, we still out here trying to find more speed and make sure we're all squared away for the big one tomorrow!!! The Mini Wedge World Championship at Beckley Motor Speedway. Hot lap qualifying, heat races, B mains, and a 15 lap feature!!! $2500 purse for both the juniors and seniors. $500 to win each class. Whole field payout. Let's get it!!!! Finishing up the spare motor just in case. I have a feeling ours isn't gonna make it through the night.
