What a crazy storm we just had roll through the region. We hope you all stayed safe and were able to get to your destination safely for those of you that were out on the roads! Let's take a quick second to briefly mention the negative effects that road salts and brine take on our vehicles and what we can do to stop and slow down the bad stuff!!

BE INFORMED
Most components of our vehicles, such as the body, suspension components, and brake parts, are made of steel, which itself is an alloy of iron with carbon and other metals. Iron, when water and oxygen come into contact with it creates a chemical reaction that we all, unfortunately, know as RUST. This is a relatively unavoidable stage in the life of a car.

Rust will typically start in small patches but will eventually spread if no action is taken. A huge way to prevent the spread of rust is to get the SALT off the car ASAP. Salt enables electrons in that rust creating reaction to move faster, meaning more rust in less time.

Rust WILL Depreciate the value of your vehicle, weaken critical safety components over time such as your brake and suspension parts, and ruin your PAINT and body if there are any chips in it.
