This is my favorite picture from today. Liam wanted to see Lightning McQueen, and that wish is what started all of this. My favorite picture is about the man kneeling beside Liam.

I had spent a couple of hours searching for someone with a Lightning McQueen car when KK Edgil-Mills sent me a card for Snead McQueen (Jared Bellew). I reached out to Snead, explained what we were trying to do for Liam and asked if he thought he could make it happen.

One of my questions was, “What’s the cost?” Snead responded, “Something like that…nothing! I can’t charge for that!” That told me everything I needed to know about this kindhearted gentleman.

We were looking for a car. What we found was a man with a big heart who was willing to give his time, bring Lightning McQueen to Double Springs, Alabama, and fulfill a little boy’s dream.

That’s why this is my favorite picture. Lightning McQueen was the wish, but there had to be a person behind the wheel willing to show up.

Thank you, KK, for making the connection, and thank you, Jared, for saying yes.

This is what showing up for somebody looks like. Ka-chow!
