Making more power is one thing. Making sure the rest of the combination is ready to support it is another.
This ProCharger Superchargers C8 Corvette came through Addiction Motorsports for a complete round of engine, fuel and oiling upgrades designed to push the combination further while keeping reliability in check.
The LT2 received a cam package with a +38% fuel lobe, .660-lift valve springs, titanium retainers, one-piece pushrods, VCT limiter, DOD delete and upgraded trunnions. We also added hydraulic roller lifters, LT1/LT4 head studs and Chevrolet Performance LT1 head gaskets to strengthen the valvetrain and long block.
On the oiling side, a Katech high-performance dry-sump oil pump went in. Fuel delivery was upgraded with LT4 6mm direct injectors, an LT4 high-pressure pump and an auxiliary low-side fuel system.
A plug-and-play flex-fuel kit gives the car the ability to take advantage of E85, while a Mighty Mouse catch can helps manage crankcase ventilation.
We finished the combination with an upper pulley install before putting the C8 on the dyno for final calibration and testing.
