I recently installed new headlights and taillights on my Yukon. I need to get better pictures but I can’t get the right lighting. I like how they look I just wish the turn signal/running lights were as bright as my corner lights. I really like the taillights. I need to get a led turn signal signal flasher because sometimes my blinkers hyper flash. I found some led headlight bulbs at the junkyard so I’m gonna try them out and see how they work. Now the Yukon is looking pretty sweet.

I just finished up swapping the transmission in my Yukon and to my surprise it actually worked. For the first time in over 16 years my truck has all its gears. The reason my grandpa parked this truck almost 17 years ago was because of the transmission but now it’s fully functional. I need to do a little more work to it before l’m ready to take it on the freeway but at least it’s driving again after being down for 4 months.

Little update on the Yukon. I just replaced the rear main seal on the Yukon. Mine wasn’t leaking but since I had the transmission out I thought it would be the perfect time to replace it. It wasn’t very hard to do either. Alls you need is a new seal and a 4 inch pvc pipe cap to use as a seal driver. Now I need to figure out the oil cooler lines and then the new (very used) transmission can go in. It’s getting close. Hopefully the weather stay somewhat decent so I can get this thing back together. Basically with the oil cooler lines I bought new fittings and went to install them and threaded them all the way into the oil filter adapter rather than stopping halfway like I was supposed to. Oops
