Took the Yukon to its first car show today. It made the 30 minute drive there and back with no problems. I took it on the freeway for the first time and got it up to 80. It was quite nerve racking but it did good. It probably didn’t deserve to be in the show according to some but who cares I paid to be there and I think it’s cool enough to be in the show.

I recently installed new headlights and taillights on my Yukon. I need to get better pictures but I can’t get the right lighting. I like how they look I just wish the turn signal/running lights were as bright as my corner lights. I really like the taillights. I need to get a led turn signal signal flasher because sometimes my blinkers hyper flash. I found some led headlight bulbs at the junkyard so I’m gonna try them out and see how they work. Now the Yukon is looking pretty sweet.

I just finished up swapping the transmission in my Yukon and to my surprise it actually worked. For the first time in over 16 years my truck has all its gears. The reason my grandpa parked this truck almost 17 years ago was because of the transmission but now it’s fully functional. I need to do a little more work to it before l’m ready to take it on the freeway but at least it’s driving again after being down for 4 months.
