Please adjust your thermostats up if you are away from your RV this weekend. High temps are expected and our local Electric coop is forecasting peak power consumption. Run water heaters on LP, turn off unused appliances and help keep the lights on for everyone, especial 3-7 pm.

Stay cool in the lake or try your luck with a dip at Roaring River State Park for the ultimate chillax! Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend!!

30 AMP RVers: When the sun is cooking, your AC is working overtime to keep things cool. It's easy to get over 30 AMPs and melt plugs.

For example:
AC on High: 12-19 AMPs
Converter/Battery Charger: 3-6 AMPs
Refrigerator: 4-7 AMPs
Coffee Pot: 5-12 AMPs
Electric Water Heater: 10-15 AMPs
Lights, TV, computers etc, 3-8 AMPs

If all these items are on and only a few start at the same time your plug will melt and breakers will trip.

To help:
1. Routinely clean your plug terminals, you want shiny metal that fits in the socket firmly. Replace loose fitting damaged connectors.
2. Run water heaters on gas
3. Turn AC on low or off when using high energy appliances like coffee makers
4. 50 AMP RVs are much better as they distribute the line load. Keep in mind when trading.
