Installed a new Y-pipe on this neat 90's model GMC truck today! Also ran new pipe to the muffler and added a couple hangers where they were needed.

We use a lighted mirror to double check that the pipe gets welded on the top and is completely sealed up, then start the vehicle and double check all the exhaust manifold/manifolds and flange/gasket connections with an open tube stethoscope to be sure the exhaust system is completely sealed up!!

We have a new infared camera in the shop!!!

This new tool allows us too..

-Diagnose a misfiring cylinder.
-Aquire accurate temperature readings of the entire coolant system, radiator, radiator hoses, heater core hoses, thermostat housings, cylinder heads, heater core blockages, etc.
-Read catalytic converter temperatures and diagnose a clogged or failing catalytic converter.
-Read temperatures on wheels, breaks, wheel bearings, differentials, transmissions, transfer cases, etc.
-Pinpoint exhaust leaks around exhaust manifolds and other exhaust components.
