Just done wrapping up the weekend here at Barber, we had a few issues but for the most part the new/old car did pretty well. We still have some improvements to make but all in all it was a good weekend. This place is absolutely beautiful, and the track is quite interesting. I’m the first to admit that I’m not the best technical track driver, but this place is a lot of fun! I never got a chance to tour the museum, but did ride around and took in some of the track art! Now it’s Runoffs prep time!

Good morning from BEAUTIFUL Barber Motorsports Park! This is our first time here and there was no test day so this should be very interesting. We get thrown to the wolves right out of the gate with Q1 at 10:30 Central and our race is around 4:00. Wish us luck!!

Yet another tough weekend for us. We had 3rd pretty well in reach yesterday and the car had an issue and lost power, finished 8th. Today we scratched and clawed our way to P1, narrowly avoided complete disaster with an over excited prod car in the entry to the bus stop and then the next lap I over cooked the toe of the boot entry which forced me wide and I lost the rear end and went head on into the “blue bushes” ending our day. I have to say, this weekend was some of the hardest and cleanest racing I’ve experienced in this class. Each lap was work, and each driver in our class drove hard but respectfully. Congrats to all the podium finishers! The next stop on the Super Tour is in August at Barber, we’re 50/50 on going…especially now that we have some damage to repair. I have to start thinking this bad luck will end soon!!

Rolling off P4 in this afternoon’s race. We knew it was going to be quick this morning and we were right! We’re fighting a problem with the car losing power, hopefully Scott Bennett can get it worked out and get us rolling again! This should be a great race with everyone qualifying within a second!

Hauled it up to Watkins Glen for the second to last Super Tour event of the year! Hard to believe that this will be the last time in the car until possibly August, so we’re going to try to make the best of it. A bit of a lighter turn out for our class this weekend, but there’s talent throughout. As you can see by the times in Q1, it’s anyone’s race! We’re provisionally P2 with another qualifier in the morning which I’m sure is going to reshuffle the deck!

This was our temporary garage neighbor this afternoon. One thing is not like the other! Hopefully some of it rubbed off!

We fell just short of the weekend sweep, finishing second today in a tight race with Caleb Patrie. We stayed nose to tail from about lap 2 on and boy, what a battle! We both had separate parts of the track where each car was strong but I had a decent advantage coming up the hill to start finish so I decided to stay put and try to pass for the win at start finish. I came into turn 14 with a head of steam and over rotated the rear just a bit too much and broke some momentum which didn’t give me the up hill run I needed. Nonetheless, what an amazingly fun race and a well earned 2nd! Big thanks again to Scott Bennett for once again nailing our set up, and Goodyear for the best tires in racing! We’ve got a week and a half off and then heading to my second favorite track in the country, Watkins Glen!

Sometimes things just work out. Q1 was a complete disaster in the rain, had a tire go down and got involved with an over excited driver trying to make a hole where there wasn’t one, put us at the back for the grid for Q2. The sun was out and for the first time I can remember I had very little traffic in corners and was able to use the tow from other cars as we went along. Scott Bennett put together a flawless car this afternoon and we were able to get the pole for race 1 tomorrow! The green flag drops around 11:15 tomorrow, it should be a good one!!
