Sale DOES include a 2007 Karavan trailer in mint condition.

The vessel came to us with 3 leaks. Those have been repaired. Reinforcing patches have been placed. We gave the boat an intense cleaning, as well.

ACHILLES FINAL REVIEW…

The repair portion was a cinch; nothing to it. The cleaning was another story. It took a ton of work to restore the tubes!

I don’t yet know what’s hiding under the DIY area, but I sure as hell am happy to find tape there (as opposed to 5200)!

IF YOU CAN’T BE A MULTITASKER…

you’ll never survive in this field. It’s been a whirlwind couple of days, but every one of ‘em was chock-full of efficiency, productivity, and great results.

Intakes, inspections, prep, gluing, cleaning, painting, bidding bon voyages, appointment scheduling, and shuffling boats around; all of it went smoothly, and without stress.

The initial plan with Kevin’s boat was for me to pull an all-nighter in order to deal with the handles, transom holder, and seam reinforcing strips. Thankfully, with the addition of both top and bottom cleaning, and the extra cosmetic patches, I was granted a reprieve. I started on Thursday, and wrapped up today. That bottom cleaning took almost all day yesterday! I did what I could to de-barnacle the outboard too.

I hope Kevin and his wife feel the dinghy is so unrecognizable, Driver Bert must’ve stolen one and pulled a swap out!

YESTERDAY’S SHIFT…

was a long, but productive one. I put all 6 cosmetic patches down, then tackled all 6 handles.

I dealt with the transom holder, rubrail detachment, and scrape on the starboard tube, as well.

Today, I decided I’d like to reinforce the transom holder. I pulled it, placed a patch, then prepped and glued it back down.

I want to visually explain why it’s so important to remove the adhesive from the handles. If I don’t show you what’s up tomorrow, please remind me!
