Shipping a better diagnosis model used to mean waiting on an App Store release. Not anymore.

Retrained engines now reach your phone directly: checked quietly in the background, Wi-Fi first, every file verified before it’s used, and nothing replaced until the whole download has landed. Lose signal halfway? The core models install first, so you still get working diagnosis.

Better models in hours, not weeks. That’s the whole feature.

This is what a clogged fuel filter looks like. →

That’s a real fuel/water separator, photographed on a phone in a real engine bay. Here’s what happened next:

1) Snap it — fixin classified the domain (Boat) and called the fault: Fuel.

2) It wrote the fix — six steps, drain to done, starting with a water-and-debris check at the separator.

3) Then it built the project — every step takes sub-steps, parts, and tools. The 1000 µM filter was already on the list before the wrenches came out.

Caught before it stalled the engine mid-channel. That’s the whole point.

A boat isn't a car; it isn't a house. Your repair app shouldn't pretend otherwise.

So fixin doesn't hand you the same generic checklist for everything. What opens after a diagnosis depends on what you're actually fixing:

Car — OBD-II & VIN decode, recalls and TSBs, service history
Home — appliance lookup, utility shut-off, permits and code
Boat — engine hours, marine systems, sea & marina conditions

One app. Three things you own. Built properly for each.

fixin on Android, start to finish. →

1. Snap it — take the photo, and say what's wrong in your own words.
2. See the verdict — category, issue, and specific fault, each with its own confidence score. Plus the runner-ups, because honest software shows its work.
3. Get the steps — instructions written for your exact diagnosis.
4. Work through it — tick off each step, with progress and safety prompts as you go.

Full feature parity with iOS, same ML engine, all on-device.

This is what a dying impeller looks like. →

That’s a real raw-water pump, photographed on a phone in a real engine bay. Here’s what happened next:

1️⃣ Snap it — fixin classified the domain (Boat) and called the fault: Impeller Failure.
2️⃣ The marine toolkit opened underneath — parts, engine hours, sea conditions.
3️⃣ It wrote the fix — six steps, safety first, starting with “shut down at the first overheat sign.”

Caught before it cooked the engine. That’s the whole point.
