Specs & Upgrades:

Engine: 1JZ-GTE in excellent condition

Turbo: Borg Warner SXE-257 with billet wheel

Boost Management: Turbosmart Hypergate wastegate + Tial blow-off valve

Fuel System: Fuel Injector Clinic 1100cc injectors, custom fuel tank hat with Bosch 044 pump, and all Teflon AN lines for E85

Throttle Body: Bosch 68mm DBW

ECU: AEM Infinity 506 standalone

Tuning: Flex-fuel capable, making just shy of 400whp on E85 rolling antilag and launch control

A friend of mine is rebuilding his 4.6L engine and wants to do it right, he asked me to make a torque plate for honing purposes so of course we did it right with 2” thick 6061. As it turns out these will also work for the 5.0 and the 5.4 as well or any engine that has a 100MM bore spacing with a 100x99MM bolt pattern for bore size up to 3.75”.

Oops! Rushing leads to mistakes, this was me assuming my tool stick out was good enough, clearly the world had other plans. Looks like the collet tried to friction weld itself to the part before I was able to hit the E stop. Scrapping parts sucks but not learning lessons sucks more than :) here’s to learning.

This is an alternator bracket I came up with for a customer who has a custom RZR with a sled engine swap. He need more juice than the stator could supply. This is a novel way to both tension and hold the bracket in place using a gear mechanism.

Made from 1018 to be nickel plated.
