Good morning my friends! Don’t be like me! Often times I wait way too long to change my cabin air filter. I only decided to change mine because I could hear a whirring noise coming from the blower (and vacation was coming up). Once I opened it up it was way past overdue for a service. Additionally, a small leaf had made its way past the filter into the blower motor’s wheel. Removed the leaf, and installed a new filter. I decided to get an upgraded filter to help further eliminate any odors. I’ll be on vacation this week, but I’m still available by text to make appointments for next week. I’m starting to fill up so don’t delay contacting me for your spot! Until next week, it’s ISLAND TIME!!!

Yesterday I had a customer who said their ac wasn’t blowing very much. After digging around under the dash I came to the conclusion that the ac control panel, which operates using engine vacuum, had lost its vacuum source. After tracing down its source it was determined that the engine vacuum line that feeds the HVAC control panel had deteriorated beyond use. I replaced the vacuum line and the control panel was restored to its proper operation.

One of the tasks in woodworking that I really enjoy is milling down lumber into usable pieces. This is some cedar lumber that had been sitting in a shed for many years. After milling it down, the beautiful grain really shines! I’m still doing woodworking as I have time and I’d love to add you to my list! Hello friends! I have openings this week if there’s anything I can do for you. Don’t wait to get on my schedule as the shop will be closed next week as I will be at camp with Dover’s youth. This past week was full, and I even learned a few new things. Sometimes you have to figure out different ways of accomplishing a task with no assistance, such as lifting a transmission from the floor up on a transmission jack. I hope to hear from you soon!

Auto techs are always learning/doing something new. Today it’s a timing belt on this 2004 Nissan Frontier. Not too bad, a little intimidating at first, but once all the little stuff is out of the way it’s not too bad. I’m getting pretty full in the shop this week, but I’d love to get you on the schedule for next week if there’s anything you need.

Just a thought on this Monday evening, what keeps a vehicle going? Maintenance! Every fluid needs service at specific intervals. Other parts have recommended replacement intervals too, such as spark plugs. Is your vehicle up to date on its services? If not I can help with that. Lemme know and I’ll add you to my schedule for any service your vehicle requires! If you’re not sure what it needs, just ask and I’ll let you know what is recommended. My goal is for your vehicle to provide the best for you as long as you own it!

Late nights in the shop. It’s 11:10 pm…I NEVER stay out here that long, but I guess I was enjoying the progress! 1st coat of primer done! Saturday, I’ll knock off the rough, and apply the second coat of primer, and maybe the first coat of paint! What can I build for you? Yes, I’m still doing woodworking! Sprayed, not brushed!!!
