As riding season is in full swing, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some of the work we’ve been tackling at JL Accelerated this year.

From Victory and Indian motorcycles to Harley-Davidsons, metric cruisers, dirt bikes, and adventure bikes, we’ve been fortunate to help riders get back on the road and trail with confidence.

Some of the biggest trends we’ve seen this season include:

🏍️ Fork seal repairs and complete suspension service
🏍️ Tire replacements and safety inspections
🏍️ Carburetor rebuilds on bikes that have been sitting

We’ve also continued expanding our suspension services after completing RaceTech training, allowing us to provide custom setup and tuning for riders of all skill levels.

About once a month, I take a trip down to St. George and stay with some friends down here and work on a couple bikes. If you’re in the St. George area and wanna get a hold of me sometime when I’m coming down and need me to look at something on your bike, let me know. I’ve limited resources down here, but there are things I can get done tuning oil changes minor work don’t have a tire machine down here yet.
Today’s bike is removing the Indian stage two and moving to Lloyds 585 cams and Lloydz Tune. This bike has had some issues so hoping to correct those problems.

This year I got certified to be a Racetech suspension builder and installer as well as a dealer. While there I saw an opportunity to find some improvements for Victory suspension.
This is the first set of custom built Victory Cross Country forks with Racetech springs, valving, and oil. I know there are a couple other options out there and this is a little late to the game, but being able to build a custom fork suspension for Victory motorcycles has a lot of value.
Let’s address those soft mushy forks with something that performs and responds to the road appropriately keeping your front tire planted.
I will be doing some testing locally with this first set, but hit me up and let’s chat about building you a better performing ride. And yes there are options for the steel frame bikes.
Next project will be getting another shock option for the Vic’s as well.

One of the most neglected services I see in the shop is motorcycle brake fluid maintenance.

Many bikes still have the original brake fluid after years of riding, which can cause:

• Spongy brake feel

Sometimes you have to face your challenges head on. This 2003 Indian Chief was one of those challenges. Nervous to work on this bike because of difficulties finding parts I took it on anyway. Project was a squeaky belt. Being that it was the original belt, likeliest cause was just age, not a lot of side to side adjustment on the bike. Well let’s just say things didn’t go as planned and unfortunately had to go deeper into the bike. So many lessons learned. Still always improving my communications good or bad with my customers, still learning how to be efficient in the shop, and still learning to be a mechanic on many different types of bikes. I will say my lessons learned on this job were easily transferred to the next project which went perfectly! Don’t be afraid to face those challenges.

Warm 52’ sun shining sorting shims and getting them organized. Rebuilding some suspension adding gold valves all the way around, new springs, custom valving, it’s really going to soak up the bumps!
