Must be able to EFFICIENTLY & ACCURATELY diagnose customer concerns and be able to explain and correctly perform repair procedures. Job abilities must include electrical, drive-ability, mechanical failure, HVAC. Must also be able to perform routine maintenance and promote preventative measures to customers. Wellness Check Time - For many, stay-at-home orders have meant for staying off the road, too, with some people not driving their cars for weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic. ...which could lead to issues, including breakdowns, if you’re not wary. Longer sitting periods of time, of course, can create greater issues. But, no matter, NOW is the time to just get a vehicle health check to make sure there will be no issues when you get back on the road.
(1) Battery -- biggest concern is a dead battery. All the electronics in modern cars (some with upwards of 100 computers) can drain down batteries even when they are sitting idle, and not driving your car on a daily basis, tends to lead to a dead battery. We offer a 3-year warranty on our batteries!
(2) Tires -- not moving your car for a long period of time can create flat spots.
(3) Fluids (gas, oil, etc) -- Gasoline doesn’t last indefinitely in your tank, particularly fuels made partially from ethanol. It can start deteriorating in a month.
(4) Pests -- if a car is not driven, it can be attractive to nesting animals, and critters can chew wiring as well.
