Customers issue is, the brake lights and turn signals don’t work on the truck or the trailer. After 2 days and 7 hours total of tracing wires from the front to the rear of the truck. I bumped the relay while under the dashboard and all turn signals and brake lights started working. Unfortunately there are very little resources on wiring for heavy duty vehicles like this. So almost all wire testing is strictly puting hands on the actual wiring and physically following the wires throughout to see what is next in line, without anything saying where specific components are, like the relay. Customer will be replacing that relay though as the wiring connections checked out okay. So the relay itself was sticking.

Don’t have enough time to get your car maintenance done while trying to juggle between work, family, and still having free weekends? That’s not a problem here! I’ll come out to you while you’re at work and get everything done there so you spend no extra time at the shop! Today I was able to do spark plugs, serpentine belt, oil change, and brake fluid service in an afternoon all while at their workplace.

Family mustang has been sitting for a while, it would start but wouldn’t stay running if you give it gas. After a couple hours of pinpoint testing and following a code, eventually found a fuel pump driver module in the back. Turned out that module was submerged halfway in the water in the spare tire well. Installed a new module and it ran perfectly!

1999 Silverado 2500. Steering column felt pretty tight when shifting into gear. Like it could break. Tore down the ignition key switch and took out the column shifter and installed a new mechanism. It feels much smoother now!

Customer said he had a gas leak and the tank wouldn’t hold fuel. Replacement of the fuel line that was leaking would’ve required removal of the body off the chassis and removal of the 70 year old line that’s built into the frame. So with the limited access to equipment as a mobile mechanic we went a different route. We ran an entirely new route through the car with a whole new 1/4 inch hard line and also raised the seats up a little too to make it a little more comfortable to see over the dash. Now it’s ready for the next car show.

Customer had a message on their gauge cluster when their trailer was hooked up. Found the trailer brakes weren’t working and the brake lights were very dim. Replaced all new electric brake assemblies and all new wheel bearings while we’re at it already. Then re-wired the entire trailer with a new and better 7-way hookup and all new brake lights also. Unfortunately I don’t have before and after’s of the wiring but it was an absolute nest of wires all collected at the trailers tongue. Now it’s all cleaned up and nearly hidden from sight.

Tried something a little out of the ordinary this time. This clients bucket wasn’t working along with their transmission being stuck in third gear. Turns out they were related issues caused by the same problem. We got it back up running normally in just a few hours and this truck is back in the fleet!
