Nels Powell Bicycles Custom hand built bicycles. Nels Powell Cycles may be a young company, but it is rich in history.

Founders Eric and Robbie met 27 years ago racing on the BMX dirt in Dallas. They quickly became inseparable, sharing each other’s passion for cars, music and bikes. Their passion for building dates back to 1989 when a couple of teenagers chopped up an old frame and built it into their own version of a downhill bike

se and dreamed of a day when they could build together again. In 2010, that dream came true with the arrival of No. 1 and they haven’t looked back since

Nels Powell is missing Robin Williams. What a class act who made us laugh so many times since we were kids. Robin was an avid cyclist who loved bikes as much as he loved riding them. He was very into the hand built scene, riding a Pegoretti almost daily. It is a shame he is gone and a shame he left before having a chance to ride a Nels Powell creation. We shall never forget you Robin, and will laugh at your jokes and movies for many years to come. Rest in peace....
