Nobody likes making mistakes, especially when you’re working on someone else’s vehicle. But I believe what defines a business isn’t whether mistakes happen—it’s how they’re handled.

While working on this Mercedes, I noticed a small section of severely sun-damaged paint gave way during the polishing process. The paint had been heavily weathered from years of exposure, but regardless of the condition, it was my responsibility.

The first thing I did was contact the customer and explain exactly what had happened. I believe in being completely honest and transparent with every client. There was no trying to hide it, no excuses, and no hoping it would go unnoticed. I wanted the customer to hear it directly from me because that’s the level of communication and integrity I expect from myself.

I immediately took full accountability and had the damaged area professionally repainted at my expense. I didn’t consider the job complete until the repair was done correctly and the vehicle looked the way it should have.

The before and after photos show the outcome.

At AJ’s Auto Detailing, we believe trust is earned through honesty, not perfection. Every vehicle is different, and especially with older paint, unexpected situations can happen. What will never change is how we respond. We communicate openly, we’re transparent from start to finish, and if something isn’t right, we make it right.

I’d rather have an uncomfortable conversation built on honesty than stay silent and lose a customer’s trust. That’s the standard I hold myself to every single day.

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust AJ’s Auto Detailing with your vehicles. Your trust means everything to me, and I promise to continue treating every vehicle with the care, respect, and integrity it deserves.

Looks like a view… it’s actually the paint.

This is what a proper polish + ceramic coating can do.
Deep gloss, mirror reflection, and protection that lasts.

Exterior Detail – More Than Just a Wash

This is what a proper exterior detail should look like from start to finish. We don’t just rinse and dry — every step is done with care to protect your paint.

We begin with a safe foam wash to break down dirt and grime, followed by a gentle hand wash using soft, high-quality wash pads designed to minimize swirl marks and scratches. Wheels, tires, and all exterior surfaces are thoroughly cleaned to bring the vehicle back to life.

For the drying process, we use premium microfiber towels to safely remove water without damaging the finish — no shortcuts, no rough materials.

To finish it off, we apply a liquid ceramic sealant. This adds:
• Deep gloss and shine
• Smooth, slick finish
• Protection against dirt, water spots, and UV damage
• Hydrophobic effect (water beading)

This is how we take a car from dull to clean, glossy, and protected — the right way.

I’m not gonna lie… this one is REAL life 😅

Kids, snacks, busy schedules — it doesn’t take much for a clean car to turn into this. One quick drive, a couple snacks, maybe a spilled drink… and before you know it, crumbs are everywhere and it just builds up over time.

School drop-offs, sports practice, road trips, eating in the back seat… it all adds up. Most of the time you don’t even notice it getting this way until one day you look back there and think “how did it get this bad?”

No judgment at all — I see this all the time. That’s exactly what I’m here for 👍

Wait till you see how this turns out 👀

Be honest… how long does it take your car to go from spotless to this?
Days? Weeks? One road trip? 😂👇

And what’s the worst thing you’ve found in your back seat?

Oxidation builds up and reduces visibility at night — not just how it looks.

Brought these back to life for a client here in SLO.

If your headlights are starting to look like the first pic, I can take care of it 👍

Bug season is here… and your bumper is taking the hit.

Those bug guts aren’t just ugly — they’re acidic and can actually damage your paint if left sitting too long.

We offer polishing + ceramic coating on high-impact areas like bumpers, mirrors, and windshield to protect your vehicle and make future cleanups way easier.

Less scrubbing, less damage, and long-term protection.

Message me to get your front-end protected before it gets worse.

Bug season is hitting hard right now 🪰

That buildup isn’t just dirt—it can stain and damage your paint if not properly removed.

This Tesla received front-end correction and ceramic protection to restore and protect the finish.
