We all have our origin stories and exchanges will vary person to person. Your version may be different, but this is mine.
$11.5k to Cody Guldstrand of Guldstrand Pro for undocumented, unfinished work, mistakes on engine bay harnesses, zero chassis harness completion, etc.
An absolute f**kton of time wasted, over 5 Years for him alone.
A few months into it, I'm handling my harnesses for the chassis from here on out.
Eccentric Motorsports was sent all brand new irons, housings, etc and I was fu**ed around with on my time for 2 Years. The one Pineapple Racing Port he did was WAY overported from where I had told him to focus response and energy with port velocity, and that iron is on the spare, Race Block now, finished by a proper engine builder.
Rotary Science... S4 T2 Rotors sent out, fu**ed up, crazy way over scalloped, no landing area for side seals and rotors were not centered in machine process to where machined faces were uneven. Round 2 I received bent counterbalance weights and an absolute f**kery of shipping damages. Again, sent out to a proper engine balancer who found something like 25-40g variance from the work.
The Semi-PP work was so shoddy using Electrical potting material, 30mm bore diameter, ports that shift with temperature, zero aiming of air inlet to path of flow, etc.
If you want to work with the right people, it's going to take a few of the wrong ones to point you in the right direction. I would hope that at least one of them is doing better quality work now than they used to be, so simply take this as a recollection of expensive occurrences and do your due diligence before choosing where to bring your prized possessions.
It's nice to be able to move on, finish the car to my standards and enjoy something I've tailored to my exact specifications for more than a decade.
As someone who views time as our currency, these fu***rs wasted mine and shaped me into the monster I am today. The Silver Lining.
