In a land where hope still grows,
Where every heart its future knows,
Two souls arose through storm and flame,
Each called by duty, none the same.

โ˜…

One chose the road of steadfast might,
To guard the weak, defend the right.
Through restless nights and streets unknown,
He stood so others walked in peace alone.

โ˜…

One walked through trials, through loss and pain,
Yet searched for sunlight after rain.
Not by the past is one defined,
For grace can heal the human mind.

โ˜…

The dream is not of fear or walls,
Nor angerโ€™s voice that shouts and calls.
It lives where mercy joins with law,
And justice stands in humble awe.

โ˜…

The dream is not a distant star,
It shines wherever kind hearts are.
When hands once parted meet again,
The broken world begins to mend.

โ˜…

So let us rise, both bold and true,
With brighter skies in clearer view.
For when we choose the good we can,
The dream lives on in every man.

Rest in Peace, Graham Greene.
Born June 22, 1952, on the Six Nations Reserve in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada, Greene was a proud member of the Oneida Nation, part of the Haudenosaunee (Six Nations). Before entering Hollywood, he worked as a welder, carpenter, and high-steelworkerโ€”an everyday life he never imagined would lead him to stand among the finest actors on screen.
His breakthrough came with Dances With Wolves (1990), where he portrayed Kicking Bird, a Lakota medicine man. The role earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, marking a milestone not just for Greeneโ€™s career, but for Indigenous representation in film. Determined to honor the role, he spent hours learning the Lakota language to bring authenticity to the character.
But his performance was more than actingโ€”it was a reclamation. Greene once reflected, โ€œI donโ€™t even speak my own languageโ€ฆ We were taught not to speak it. Itโ€™s like forgetting your heart.โ€ Through his work, he gave that heart a voice again.
Graham Greene passed away in 2025 at age 73, leaving behind a legacy defined by pride, authenticity, and quiet dignity. He showed the world that true strength isnโ€™t loudโ€”itโ€™s the kind that stands tall, even when the world tries to silence you.
RIP, beloved actor Graham Greene who passed away today at the age of 73 due to a โ€œlong battle with an illness.โ€

A Native American 28-foot canoe, estimated to be around 1,000 years old, was recently recovered from Lake Waccamaw in southeastern North Carolina. This remarkable discovery sheds light on the rich history and advanced craftsmanship of the indigenous peoples who once inhabited the region.
Lake Waccamaw is part of the traditional lands of the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe, known as the "People of the Falling Star." The canoe's discovery is significant for both historical and cultural reasons, providing a tangible connection to the tribe's ancestors and their way of life. The craftsmanship of the canoe indicates a sophisticated understanding of woodworking and boat-building techniques, which were essential for transportation, trade, and fishing.
The process of recovering the canoe involved careful excavation and preservation efforts. Archaeologists and experts from local universities and heritage organizations collaborated to ensure the canoe was safely removed and conserved. The waterlogged state of the canoe helped preserve it over the centuries, but also required delicate handling to prevent damage during the extraction.
Once the canoe is fully preserved, it will likely be studied in greater detail to learn more about the materials and construction methods used by the Native Americans of that era. Such studies can provide valuable insights into the daily lives, trade practices, and technological advancements of the indigenous peoples.
The recovered canoe will also serve as a powerful educational tool and cultural artifact. It is expected to be displayed in a local museum or cultural center, where it can be appreciated by both the public and members of the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe. This discovery not only honors the legacy of the regionโ€™s original inhabitants but also fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of their contributions to history and culture.

No One Is Illegal on Stolen Land.

Half the face is human,
half the face is bone,
in the middle is a line

that has never closed.

Old feathers tell stories of the wind,
tell stories of ancestors
who have gone through hunting seasons,
seasons whose names have been forgotten.

The earth does not lie,
only humans label,
who is "legitimate,"
who is "outsider."

When bones still remember flesh,
when the earth still remembers feet,
then no one is a stranger
in the place where they were born.

The black lettering is like an oath:
No one is illegal โ€”
because history does not belong to those who come after,
but to what has never disappeared.

The garment is not just for wearing,
but to remind:
whose memory we stand on.

In the quiet glow of autumn mountains,
he kneels to listen to the voice of the earth.
No need to ask the wind where it wandersโ€”
some wisdom comes only through stillness.

Beside him, the horse stands in silent trust,
a bond formed without force or command.
True strength is not born from conquest,
but from living in harmony with the land and the spirit of the ancestors.
