Well I guess this is what happens when you try to be nice. USAA you suck! I have been doing insurance work for more then two decades. I have worked on thousands of USAA claims. On the job in question. This is at least the forth or fifth claim for this claimant alone that I have worked on. I completed the claim on November 29th. On the 30th the claimant came to pick up there car. Yet I had not received any payment for the job. I assumed the insurance company sent the check to the claimant. This is common in insurance claims. They had not. USAA had payed out nothing. We got USAA on a three way call were they assured me that if I released the car "In good Faith" so that they don't accrue storage fees. They would guarantee payment within two days. That was November 30th. Well here we are December 22nd. Yep you guessed it. NO PAYMENT! I have called nearly everyday in the past two weeks. They are not denying payment. They just keep claiming some clerical issue. 22 days they can't reconcile a clerical issue and can't get me a straight answer. I gave the car back. I have no leverage. Im not even collecting storage. You may not think this is such a big deal. Here is the thing. I have a few insurance companies pulling this stunt on me right now. Along with some cash customers. Im out the parts, paint materials, and labor. My bills don't stop coming. Yet no money is coming in. How long do you think it will take before it puts me under. Merry F*$ Christmas to me!

Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with insurance companies lately? It started with Infinity. I did the job. They sent me the check. They also sent the insured the check. I deposited my check. Not even aware of the other check. The insurance company claimed I was committing fraud and to send the money back. They claimed it was up to me to get payed by the insured. Yet I already gave the car back. #2 Allstate called and said the car was a total loss and the insured signed off. So they were picking up the car. Turned out to be a lie and they were trying to steal the job and take it to another shop. #3 Wawanesa sent e-mail confirmation that they would pay my deductible. After more then 8 weeks and still not payed I became a little frustrated with them. They claimed they sent it to the wrong address. They couldn't get a hold of me. There was a problem with there paperwork. Yada yada yada. After nearly 3 months they finally sent me a check for $900 for the two supplements. Funny thing. I only filed one and it was for $2300. Lets say I got a little mad. I called them layers and thieves and said this is BS. They will no longer take my calls. #4 USAA I have repaired cars for them for over 15 years. They claim there is no record of my shop in there system. I give them all my info. They ask if I would release the car in good faith if they guaranteed payment. Well here we are day 12 and no check. From this day forward. I will never release a car without full payment at time of pick up. Ever again. I will also charge storage for every day it will take them to get my money. NO exceptions! Family, friends, old ladies. I don't care. I need to get payed. Complain to the insurance. On the bright side. I have never had a problem with AAA. They always pay. No games. And No, I am not a DRP for AAA.

Couldn't have said it better my self. Do you think we would take your crap if we didn't love are craft? The moneys not as good as people think. I do it for me!

It has to be about love..
If you’re making and doing things for other reasons. Like money, ego, glory, acceptance? It will never work like you want..
You have to have genuine love for your craft.
Love for your skills
Love for pushing yourself.
Love in doing something well.
Love in the materials.
And when you find that love, and you’re in that groove making some dumb little bracket that will never be seen. But you do it in an amazing way. Just for yourself, and your pride, and satisfaction.
That’s the sweet spot when amazing things will happen.
It just has to be about the love of what you do no matter what it is.

Attn: Business Owners, Is everyone having problems getting parts and supplies out there or is it just me? I know with the state of the country and transportation. There will be lag time. I have waited weeks, months, even over a year for some parts. Yet sometimes parts show up in just days. I dont understand it. I try and explain this to customers. They act as if I am jerking them around. For me Chevy parts seem fairly easy to get. Everything else seems to be a nightmare. Even US based products. Old car parts have always been troublesome. Now a days even new car parts are a problem. After market is a joke! Is all industries facing this problem? How do you explain this to customers? I dont enjoy getting yelled at by impatient people. Believe me I don't want your project here anymore then you do. In and out is how you make the money. Tying up space for months just costs money!
