Earlier this week, a customer sent me this picture asking about a broken zipper. Seeing pictures of our older products like this still bothers me.

Several years ago, we made a big decision at Moto Pockets. We were done settling for materials that didn’t hold up the way they should just to hit a price point.

We made the switch to premium, genuine CORDURA® fabric and authentic YKK zippers. Not cheap imported knockoffs, but the real deal.

Was it more expensive? Absolutely. Our material costs went up significantly, but so did the quality of our products.

Faded bags, broken zippers, and premature wear became pretty much a thing of the past.

More importantly, that decision gave us the confidence to stand behind our products with a lifetime warranty.

We’re not trying to make the cheapest motorcycle bags out there. We’re trying to make something that lasts. Something we’re proud to put our name on.

And when we sew that Made in USA label onto every bag, we want it to mean something.

Sometimes doing things the right way costs more. We’re okay with that.

Every once in a while, when we aren’t riding or at an event, we get to enjoy a little time on the water.

One of our favorite places to escape for a long weekend is Catalina Island. A little R&R, some fishing, good food and time away from the everyday grind.

The motorcycle industry is a huge part of our lives, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. But every now and then, it’s nice to trade two wheels for the water.

While at an event at DynaDicks, I noticed this kid riding by our booth several times.

Then I finally read the back of his shirt…

“NEED MONEY FOR DIRTBIKE.”

I thought, this kid has it figured out.

Motorcycles have a way of keeping kids busy, giving them something to work toward, and maybe keeping them out of trouble along the way.

Start ’em young. Keep ’em riding. 🤘

When in Baja, you must try tacos de adobada.

Thin slices of marinated pork are stacked onto a vertical spit called a trompo and slowly roasted as it turns next to a flame. The outside gets crispy and caramelized, then it’s shaved straight off the trompo onto a fresh tortilla.

The pineapple on top slowly roasts too, with the juices dripping down over the meat. Add some onion, cilantro and salsa and it doesn’t get much better.
